In order to realize a
dream, you must take the time out to dream. Visualization is the technique
used by those who have achieved nearly unbelievable dream success including
Albert Einstein, Walt Disney, world class athletes and cancer patients
who use visualization techniques to help regain their health. Scour
the web for a variety of tips and techniques to assist with visualization.
Here are three quick and easy approaches.
Remember when you were a kid and
the bedtime stories began with “once upon a time”? Well
that was a form of visualization. This activity alone takes courage
but I assure you that if you try this exercise, your heart will begin
to reveal what it truly desires. Get started by thinking about something
that you have often wished for. Now fill in the blanks of the “story” - Once Upon a Time there was a man/woman named
___________. And he/she wanted to _____________ So he/she began _________________.
Practice day dreaming or night
dreaming. Pick a quiet place or your favorite spot in the house. Let
your mind wander. Think about being able to have anything you desired
with no limitations. The only caution here is that you don’t
just think of a “shiny new” car. Think of why you would
want to have a shiny new car. The reasons for wanting a material possession
are likely closer to the true thing you desire – ex: attention,
admiration, excitement, etc.
Create a dream photo map. Make
a collage of your dreams. Cut out photos of items related to your dreams.
Include large font type headline captions for related photos and themes.
Be sure to put a photo of yourself in the center of your dreams. Show
this collection to only your closest friends being sure to avoid negative
vibes. Hang this in a place where you will see it every day. Magically,
your dreams will be manifested.
As quoted from Walt Disney “ The
way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing."
